Devastation in Gaza

In Gaza, where homes cradle memories, a heartbreaking reality unfolds. Half of them now lie shattered or obliterated, pushing thousands to traverse the unforgiving terrain on foot. Over 1.7 million souls are displaced, some urgently seeking refuge for safety, others mourning homes turned to dust.

An oppressive siege holds 2.3 million people captive, severing access to essentials – food, water, fuel, and the very heartbeat of electricity. The once vibrant cities now echo with the devastation, as clouds of despair hang low. Highways, once bustling, now bear the weight of rubble, and families spanning generations carry fragments of their lives southward.

Hospitals, once sanctuaries of healing, Mosques echoing prayers, and homes filled with laughter now face indiscriminate strikes, erasing entire neighbourhoods without a whisper of warning. Those who escape seek sanctuary in schools, only to find even these havens marked as targets.

In a mere four weeks, the toll on innocent lives, especially children, surpasses the collective tragedy in all other conflict zones since 2019. Each number a story, a dream unfulfilled, and a beacon of hope extinguished too soon.
